Terms of Corporate Membership
Any company applying for a Corporate membership is required to supply the company name, address and telephone numbers along with the company nominee, stating position held inside the organisation.
The company nominee, on payment of the yearly subscription, will receive a membership card stating the name of the Corporate and the nominee as well as three additional cards, which will state the Corporate name and the holder of one of these cards as the “Corporate Guest”.
The Corporate is entitled to a maximum of four players on the course on any given day. Any players additional to this number would be treated as guests and be charged at the members’ guest rate.
Persons representing the Corporate on the day must produce their membership card. The Corporate nominee with the consent of the General Manager may have three non-paying guests on the given day, without producing the Corporate guest card. Should a holder of a Corporate guest card visit the course on the same day they would be liable for green fees, as the Corporate only has an allocation of four players on the course on any given day.
Corporate members are not eligible to play in club competitions nor on the following days in the times stated during the club season, as published in the Muriwai Programme Book - Wednesday 8:00am – 10:30am; Saturday and Sunday before noon – as these times are reserved for club competition players.
The annual Corporate membership subscription is based on the following formula:
4 Full Playing membership subscriptions plus Levies minus Match Fees.
Corporate members are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the Muriwai Golf Club (Inc.) and are entitled to the rights and privileges of the club, having regard to the “Terms of Membership”.
Acceptance or otherwise of a Corporate application will be made by the Muriwai Golf Club (Inc.) Board of Management who reserve the right to refuse membership or the right of renewal of any Corporate membership.
“9.02.11 Corporate Membership
Companies and other similar bodies may be accepted for membership by the Board on terms and conditions set by the Board from time to time. As a condition of Corporate Membership, the company or body may be required to name particular players who work for that company. Those named players will then be accorded the playing rights of Full Playing Members and will be accorded the right to have playing guests on a defined number of occasions per year without charge PROVIDED Corporate Members and their nominated players shall not take part in Club competitions; shall not take part in Club Management; and shall not hold any elected office in the Club.”
